PPL Skills Test Validity?
Hi everybody,
Just a quick question; I passed the (UK) JAA PPL Skills Test back in late December '04 but I had a car crash and subsequent loss of medical. I have just passed the medical again ;) and basically would like to know if the Skills Test is still valid or not as the case may be? I also passed all the written exams at the same time but I've got a funny feeling that everything is only valid for 6 months. It would be a shame if it was all in vain. :yuk: Anyway, thanks for any help you can give me! |
From LASORS 2005:
The Skill Test shall be taken within 6 months of completing the flight instruction. All sections of the Skill Test must be completed within 6 months. The Skill Test has a validity of 12 months for the purpose of licence issue. So you should be fine until Dec 05. The six months you were thinking of was probably the time limit from completing the course to actually taking the skills test. |
If you have your licence you just need the new medical certificate. Otherwise you should get the paperwork for licence issue into the Belgrano asap and as soon as it comes back you can fly!
Might be wise to do a bit of refresher work with an instructor in the meantime though;) |
Gents,
Thanks for your help. I'll have have to get up to date with LASORS. Can't wait to get back in the sky and get back up to speed with things. Many thanks again! |
