When I asked the suppliers about the use of multigrade in my Cirrus Minor they advised against it and recommended 100W+ instead. This has the advantage of having a corrosion inhibiter in it for those aged engines that don't get run at least once a week. No complaints so far.

A friend uses it on his 10-2 powered Miles aircraft which I fly no issues and its the sweetest pikey major I,ve ever flown by a long shot. Its a great oil I really missed it on saturday at N Weald when my w80 lubed 0200 mount hit 210f with pressure on low limits during extensive ground delays at the hold in baking temperatures. The shell multigrade product i,m sure would have given me at least an extra 5psi from my previous experience with it .Well worth the extra money:ok:
