New PPL exams
Hi there,
Does someone know something about the new ppl exams, there seems to be coming up 3 new sets which become mandatory after 1 Mar 2004. What does this mean for the PPL confuser or is the PPL confuser 2003-4 from neung Sornying already prepared for this? I want to go to Florida next month, they aways were talking about the PPL confuser as a very handy book to pass the exams. Hope to hear from you. jumper Report this post to a moderator | IP: Logged |
As far as I understand it (from posts made by others on similar threads), all that's happening is that the current 'library' of 3 exam papers that are in use by FTOs are being withdrawn and replaced. The training syllabus is AFAIUI unchanged, so the PPL Confuser will still be as valid as before (as a Revision Aid, not a Study Aid!).

The questions may be different but they will be drawn from the same syllabus.
Anyone relying on simply learning the Confuser's answers to specific questions by heart could find themselves in difficulty, but if you have a reasonable knowledge of the subject you should be fine. I used the Confuser, not just for testing myself but because I think its explanations are generally pretty good and in any case it's often helpful to have the same thing explained in a different way. The Confuser will still be good for that even if it doesn't have verbatim versions of the exam questions. |
I booked my Met exam yesterday and arrived at the FTO this morning, only to be told that the papers were sent in to the CAA in exchange for new ones; Obviously the message was not passed on to Flight Ops. I was told that the new papers should be here by next week.

how would that stand with the "only allowed to sit exams 3 times?" rule
ie: i have sat air law twice already (failed first time, then it expired(18 months)) so do i still only get one more try? |
The rule has not changed so the 4th sitting is at a CAA flight Test Centre.
