I've found a glider!
 

On the way home yesterday, I noticed a glider in a field of stubble.
Having walked a fair distance to check that all was OK, only to find it was undamaged and abandoned, I just wondered if the old addage of "possession is 9/10ths of the law" applied.
After all, leave a car in a layby around here, and as soon as the "police aware" stickers go on, it's considered fair game.;)

Only joking, the pilot had obviously "run out of air" and appeared to have done a very good job in landing without too much difficulty, however if anyone does have a trailer they can lend me......:p

I'm sure they wouldn't mind you doing a few circuits! :D :D :D

How many wheels were there on it? I'll bet some-one nicked a couple of them already!

If he has any sense he will be in the nearest pub awaiting his crew.:D

The odd occasions that I've had to leave an aeroplane behind in a field, I usually leave a note with my mobile number in the windshield.

A couple of years ago, Genghis Sr. found a glider in trailer in a field near his home, turned out it had been stolen and presumably parked there whilst the thieves decided what to do with it. He told the police, who 24 hrs later had still nether removed it nor imobilised it, so Dad phoned the owner who was struggling because the police hadn't told him exactly where it was. Dad told him, and with his permission imobilised it to stop whatever thief had parked it there from shifting it whilst the Police were still faffing and until the rightful owner could come and get it. Not really a moral to this story, other than that the Engineer family are generally more efficient than Thames Valley police, which I had guessed anyway.
