PPL First Issue

Does anyone know what the current wait time is for the issue of a first PPL? I guess all those hard-working people in Gatwick are in the middle of holidays now like the rest of us..... any recent experience, or anyone got any tips on how/if the process can be accelerated?

Itching to get it.......

If you go the the Personnel Licensing section of the CAA web site you'll find the following:
