Recommended places in the UK
Anyone have any recommended places to fly in the UK. I'll be doing 18 hours in a c152 as part of a license conversion.

Where in the UK will you be based?

A cool place to see from the air are the White Cliffs of Dover. Then obviously Scotland is a stunning place to fly. Depends where you are from.

Agree, Scotland is brilliant. Loch Lomond is stunning and Oban is a popular destination to fly to. Check out Campbeltown as well, although I believe they don't have avgas, so plan accordingly. Also check out Hawarden in north Wales. If you go on a weekday, you might spot the Beluga.
Also bear in mind some of the more isolated spots in Scotland do not have cafes on site, so bring your own lunch! |
If going to Oban (which I'd recommend) also take the short flight from there to Glenforsa on the Isle of Mull, which I'd recommend even more.
