Looking to PAIR UP with someone to BUY an Aerobatic Aircraft PRESTWICK, SCOTLAND
Hi folks,
Really long shot, and I'm not even sure if this would be the best forum section to post in (please redirect me if there's a better place for this), but I'm looking for someone who might be interested in going 50-50 on buying and owning an aerobatic aircraft to be based in Prestwick, Scotland. Something like a Pitts S1 but totally open to ideas. Unfortunately there's no shares going in anything aerobatic there atm so I'm looking to buy my own aircraft though I'd rather not be doing it all alone if possible so if you or anyone you know who might be interested please PM me. Thank you! Tim |

CommandT, Tried to send pm but your mailbox is full

Ah great, thanks, I'll make an account and ask there :)

Did you not get my pm either?

Tim, I'm not sure now if you got my PM or not, so this is the gist of what I said.
fyi there's a couple of Pitts for sale here: https://www.aerobatics.org.uk/for-sale-and-wanted An S1T is the best variant there is imo, but a bit more expensive to buy and run than an S1S. If you're not already a BAeA member, then worth joining and sending a message about shares out to the other members. Good luck. TAC |

I've sent message on the fb group for BAeA as I couldn't find a forum on their website, although it looks like their forums are not active? Unless maybe I have to join first? And thanks for the S1T suggestion. If I can find someone to go half and half I could consider a £60k airplane but if I end up doing it alone I'll have to start off with something cheaper like a an S1S in the high £30k range. Thanks for the suggestions though. I'll keep searching around in case I find someone who might be interested. |

Hi there, I'm up in Perth and have an Extra 230 for sale on AFORS which might be of interest, a bit higher than your budget but if you can get to Mid 70's I'd be there to talk. Just back from having a 6 year prop overhaul (LPIP) and its an awesome machine to fly.
Extremely Rare & Stunning Extra 230 | afors advert No51268 I also know of a chap that might be interested in a share if that would help you get to a 3rd member? I had a Pitts S1C previously and the Extra is a big step up in performance with 230hp and a much more slippery airframe. I bought the aircraft last spring from Paul GIbbs who I know well but I'm looking for something with 2 seats now and to be honest the Extra is far more of an aircraft than I really need aerobatics wise, Super D is probably more suited to my standard of (shoddy) Aeros. Happy to let you have a look around her if you are up Perth way? |
