PPL Redhill Aviation or Stapleford Flight Centre

Hello everyone, I've decided to get my Private Pilot License and I would like to start by the end of this year. I am right in between Stapleford and Redhill aerodrome and I was thinking to start with either Redhill Aviation or Stapleford Flight Centre. I would like to know if you have any experience with any of the flight schools and what are your thoughts about them in terms of plane availability, instructors' professionalism and knowledge as well as other things that are worth mentioning. Thank you

Some earlier discussions about flight schools near London covered this question:

There's more in here about Stapleford than Redhill, but both are mentioned in these threads. I'm sure someone else will turn up with more up to date information. All I can add is that I enjoyed the cafe at Stapleford the one time I was there ;)

Redhill or Stapleford? I lived in central London a while ago and had an option to buy a share in an aircraft based at Redhill, as opposed to driving to Headcorn. I drove to Redhill and was astonished at how long it took - easily as long as the Headcorn trip which was much greater distance but largely motorway. I reckon I could have got to Stapleford in less time, had I tried. So I suggest you try to see how long takes you from wherever you are "right in between Redhill and Stapleford" to get there - it might just sway your thinking!

PS It's a licence in the UK, not license.

Possel is seriously correct. The OP's spell check may be American.....

More importantly Sebasta, try to make sure - wherever you go - that your chosen provider has a fighting chance of staying in business. And the usual three golden rules apply even more so at present.

For those not aware, the three golden rules are

1. Never pay up-front for flight instruction
2. Never pay up-front for flight instruction
3. Never pay up-front for flight instruction

Have you thought about Rochester?
