Low levels of Pollution
 

Has anyone noticed that the skies are looking so much bluer now, with the lack of vehicle and aircraft pollution..?
I am sure the last time we had such a good atmosphere was back in the 1950s, and if I was offered a choice of Blue Skies
or Aviation, I think I would opt for the Blue Skies every time.

It's the night skies that are doing it for me. So many more stars and clear.

I agree. The night sky here in West Sussex is very clear with an amazing star show.

People in the northern Indian state of Punjab are reacting with awe at the sight of the Himalayan mountain range, which is now visible from more than 100 miles away due to the reduction in air pollution caused by the country's coronavirus lockdown.
Indians in the city of Jalandhar and the surrounding area have posted photos online of the views from their homes, with some saying they haven't seen the peaks of the Himalayas for decades.
"For the first time in almost 30 years (I) could clearly see the Himalayas due to India's lockdown clearing air pollution. Just amazing," Manjit Kang wrote.

Another advantage has been councils changing over to directional white street LED lighting getting rid of the old “Sodium?” Yellow street lighting, along with selective turning off of street lighting over night reducing the “yellow glow” that was the norm.
