I should say this is very typical in terms of wildlife. Very atypical in terms of surface quality. That is exceptionally good. More common is like this:

Thanks, not familiar with either of those; 50 years ago a very small me recalls (with the aid of Dad's log book) Samburu, Keekorok and Kiliguni, plus lots of flying and gliding from Nakuru and Wilson. Nakuru Aerodrome looks to be a shadow of its former self though the RAF T2 hangars and the flying club building still seem to be there! Happy if slightly vague days...

You would be amazed how much Wilson has changed, and how little most other places have changed!
