Runway HD GAR submission issues
Anyone else experiencing problems with this ? Or got any hints (using it with iPad Air2) i’ve used it before many times without problems, and yes I have a valid subscription. I’ve set up the flight details in the flight planning section, plan an outward route at, say 11 am and file the flight plan. All is good then turn to plan the return leg. Repeat the same process, file the flight plan and turn to the GAR. Except it defaults departure time and arrival time (!) to ‘now’. The text is greyed, I can click and change it in the edit box but then reverts to ‘now’ I’ve tried before and after filing flight plan. And logging out/logging back in Any ideas out there would be appreciated. |
I had an unrelated issue with Runway HD last year and after emailing them direct ([email protected]) had a response within an hour and a full resolution within a day, after various diagnostics. Outstanding service from Ian there.

As an update to close this down, they apparently are aware of the bug and it will be fixed shortly. They came back very quickly on Tuesday after bank holiday |
I have just started using Runway HD which I find excellent. Didn't know you could file GAR's with it. In fact I didn't know what a GAR was until I was asked to fly to Ireland next week and started planning it today so excuse my ignorance. I have read through the GAR requirements but am still unclear on a few things. I want to fly from a private site (the owners helipad) to a race course in Ireland. Is this permitted as 'another place' for departure or must I land at one of the airfields on the list first before departing for Ireland? Thanks.
