if your are in Essex then tiger club hire out turbs at £75 per tacho. I would also suggest TC type flying is not good prep for the CPL. For me the cheapest would be to get a share in an LAA type, stick a tent in the back, take a week or 2 off work in summer and go places. |

I don't think they charge for instruction, and i believe they currently charge £140 per hour (hobbs) for the cub (could call them /email them for info). I don't know a place that is cheaper than the tiger club for tailwheel conversions near London. But sure - if you want to be pushed to not think on your feet, only follow checklists, and standard operating procedures, not know what to do when a new emergency arises, rely on your GPS, and autopilot to fly for you. Not enjoy the freedom of flying... Scrape by with minimum knowledge - then yes, perhaps you shouldn't consider expanding your skillset! |
