Aircraft security at EPZG in Poland

I'm planning to fly to Zielona Góra-Babimost Airport (EPZG) in Poland with a Cirrus aircraft and I'm concerned about parking the aircraft outside on the Apron for 5 days. There is no hangar available and no guarantee either from the Airport Administration in Terms of safety.

Anyone familiar with security circumstances at EPZG and can provide Details to enable decision making?

I have been there although at least 5 years ago. It's an ex mil airbase and has security fencing around the airport. Like everywhere in Poland lots of security/military staff to get airside.

I was there 3 years ago for fuel whilst at the helicopter championships at pryzlep nearby
It's a airfield with security doors onto the airfield from the terminal you need a pass or they open the doors for you
Alternatively try pryzlep they do have hangars and it's not far away

I used to base my PA28 there last winter in hangar #12 and can confirm that they treat the security and access to the restricted zone über-seriously. They have one LOT Polish Airlines rotation a day and aspire to be a "commercial airport". Previous director was demoted for allowing unauthorised access to the restricted zone. So although no absolute guarantee of security, you can at least be certain that your aircraft will be much more protected than anywhere else around. By the way, ask them about hangar #12, it should be easily available for a single use for 5 days.

My PA28 is now at Przylep EPZP and I park it outside rather than in a packed hangar as I want to avoid getting the hangar rash. There doesn't seem to be ample space in hangars, perhaps your aircraft could be squeezed into a corner, but that way you will be facing a choice between a break-in to the cabin (outside) and a dented wing or aileron (inside). No physical access restriction at Przylep in any way, shape or form. You can walk onto the grass apron or runway without even crossing a fence.

No Avgas available at Przylep EPZP due fuel trade licensing issues, they can only fuel their own aircraft, and Babimost EPZG has the most expensive Avgas this side of the Elbe river I think.

Any questions, PM me.

Many thanks for the Feedback. After giving considerable thoughts to the circumstances, I've decided to Refrain from flying to this Airport.

The great majority of GA aircraft spend a lot of time parked at random and unsecured aerordromes around the world. It is incredibly unusual to have any issues at all.

Most thefts from aircraft at aerodromes appear to be planned in advance 'attacks' on based aircraft. Vandalism or other is even less likely.

That's my subjective impression - correct or perhaps not?

Safe flights, Sam.
