Flying VFR in the Philippines with EASA or FAA license
Hi there
This is my first post in this forum. I'm planing a tripp to the Philippines and looking for informations about the chances to take some VFR flights. The two main questions are: Is my EASA or FAA valid to charter a e.g C172 or do I need a validation? Did not found any information on the CAAP website. Are there any recommendations about where to charter? Maybe even a N - registered aircraft? We are a family with two kids. So there is no space for a safety pilot. Thanks for any tipps and tricks Timo |
I have a friend who I believe was able to rent an N reg in the Philippines, I'll see if they have any details and pass on. Otherwise it might be worth signing up to the forums and asking at wingsoverasia.com. They are Singapore based but there are a lot of aviators from across Asia who are members (I am an active member renting SR22/DA40 out of Singapore).

I could have this wrong, but I remember somebody telling me that the Philippines don't have their own systems - but piggyback the FAA completely.
As said, could well be wrong and haven't done my own google... Fly safe, Sam. |
