Career in Aviation

Hi all,
I've been a computer programmer for the past 5 years, and I'm finding it tough getting a job now (I guess it's post 9/11 still.)

I'm thinking perhaps a change in career to Aviation.

Now, I'm not talking big passenger jets like Northwest or United, but rather small Cessna/Piper type single engines, to fly courier packages, etc.

Can one make a decent living doing this?

Thanks.

IMHO - no.

My advice would be to consider a career as a flight instructor, can certainly be a viable and rewarding option, but you are unlikely to get rich.

Try NAFI - www.nafinet.org

Hi Frum. Do you fly now? What do you fly, how many hours etc ?

No, I don't fly - yet. I'm considering it though.

Thanks.
