PPL Syllabus

Ive been searching the net trying to find a copy of the PPL Syllabus for when i start my PPL course next month. I want to have a glance through it to see what i will be learning on the first lesson and try to learn some stuff on that topic for the day.

The only thing i know so far is that the beginning of the syllabus is about Familiarisation Of The Aircraft. Unde this category, the first issue is Characteristics of the aeroplane. Does anyone know what this is exactly

All I can say is buy Trevor Thom book 1. It will have all the answers you are looking for.

For your information, the first lesson will involve 'effect of controls', i.e. what happens when you pull back on the stick, press the left rudder pedal etc. etc. You will then move on to secondary effect of controls, i.e. roll also causes yaw, and yaw also causes roll!

Dont worry about all this too much, that is what you pay an instructor for.:)

Not sure if this is 'official', but take a look at:
