SEP block rental

Afternoon all,

Any leads on anyone/where offering a good value block booking (50 hours) in the UK for a PPL(A) with 135 TT and 20 PIC? I also hold a CPL(H) MEIR holder with 1000TT.

Thanks in advance!

Would this be covered by the "Don't pay up front" mantra?

I'm looking to complete it in say a 2 week period so I don't think it should be an issue, but thanks for the heads up.

Is there any particular type / aeroplane that you'd be looking at renting? I am guessing that you're hour building? Perhaps looking at doing some euro-touring? Any location in particular?

"Don't pay up front!" did I hear you say?

I'm struggling here, maybe it's the lateness of the hour.... but 1,000 hours on rotary, with ME & IR but it took 115 hours to pass a PPL(A) skills test?

OK, If I'm wrong I'm wrong, but that's how it reads.

Me too. Maybe it took a while to re-train that the turning thing stays in front, not on top?

I didn't struggle with any of the OP. It made perfect sense to me.

Depending upon what you have been flying [you don't mention] you may want to have a look at North Weald Flight Training. They have C150, C172's and PA28's and cater for hour builders. Simon Lowman is a nice guy.

rogue leader, if you're after a CPL(A), you might wish to look at CAP 804 Part I Section 4 part L page 11 (it's .pdf p401/930):

(e) Hours as PIC of other categories of aircraft may count towards the 200 hours flight time, in the following cases:
(i) 30 hours in helicopter, if the applicant holds a PPL(H); or
(ii) 100 hours in helicopters, if the applicant holds a CPL(H); or

Many thanks to all for the replies - I will chase up the leads. Regarding the hours I was lucky enough to be credited the PPL(A) from military Basic FW training, and unfortunately I can see no way around the 70PIC requirement for my first FW ME rating, unless anyone knows otherwise?
