Equipment requirements for IFR flight in SEP

Dear all good day!

I am currently looking for aircraft to hire and wondered what i need to look out for if i am to conduct single pilot IFR flights to/from europe for private purposes.

I have looked at at subpart K of EU ops but this refers to operators and am not sure if this applies to me.

Also the air navigation order is a complete nightmare to navigate though.

Many thanks in advance!!!

No disrespect, but you should know this stuff as an IR holder.

You just require the equipment for your chosen route that meets the BRNAV capability. In this day and age it means an IFR GPS, DME and the kit for whatever your let down is going to be along with a MODE S. My G Reg Cessna uses a G430 GPS, G330 for transponder, a DME and and an ADF. Garmin is connected to the HSI.

The database needs to be within 28 day AIRAC cycle.

Otherwise that's about it.

Dear Bose-x,

You are right, i'm sure I covered this some time ago but always worth checking.

Its the Mode S and IFR GPS I wasn't sure of,

Any requirement for a second altimeter?

Many thanks
