Dry or wet rental somehwere in Europe?
 

Do you know any place with cheap rental rates? Either dry or wet somewhere in Europe.
I only know Big Red Kite in the UK, but the exchange rate between £ and € is not convenient for me and I found F-Air in Czech Republic that apparently rents a P2002 for around €73 wet.

I will need to fly at least 100 hours.

For bulk hour building, nothing beats the US.

Yeah I was thinking about doing it in the US, but I have to see what will the estimated final cost of everything be when we take into account also accomodation and other expenses such as flights to and from the US.

Any places where I can rent a plane for dry or wet somewhere in the US? Possibly not in Florida or California as they seem to be more expensive than let's say Ohio, Oklahoma or Oregon.
I am also not even interested in Florida and California...

I have to be honest though, if I could do some trips in Europe I'd go for it.

I think you'll find that quote hard to beat, even in the US.

That said, I have no idea how cross-border flights in an 'ultralight' are handled in EASA-land. You may also have restrictions on the airfields you can use (definitely the case in Spain).

Is the Tecnam P2002 Sierra classified as ultralight?:eek:
There are flight schools that use it for PPL, CPL and single-IR, especially in Poland, Czech Republic and Malta (Hub'Air, which is Belgian actually... ). In Slovenia they also use the Sportcruiser if I am not mistaken.

I visit US last year and rented at El Paso a C182 for 140 USD dry
Flew around with my buddy for 2,5 weeks and close to 60 hours
My expierince is that flying in USA is a lot cheaper then in Europe, even if you have to take an airliner and add hotel cost.
Also the weather was more stable around Arizona-West Coast compare to Florida at that time or compare to West Europe (May-June)
I have been almost at each country in Europe but cost wise and flying wise USA is the place to be

Can Europe seriously compete with that?!
