Super Dimona weight?
I happened to be looking at the POH for an HK36 TTC Super Dimona the other day. The max AUW for the type is 770kg and this example had a basic empty weight of 589kg, which suggests that the maximum useful load (crew, fuel, baggage) is 181kg. So with a couple of typical middle-aged aviators aboard there isn't much left for fuel and baggage!
Is this typical of the breed? Or is this particular example on the heavy side? |
It's all right, there isn't much room for baggage anyway. But yes, it's fairly typical. However, it doesn't use much fuel, especially if you can find a few thermals.

You still need some fuel to get off the ground in the first place though -- and with two average-sized adults you can't take very much. With two 90kg adults you can't take any fuel at all :{ |
