Air Law revision help
 

Hey guys,

This is my first post so hopefully all goes well lol. My instructor has told me to start revising for my air law exam. Is there anywhere online that has free material to revise for my air law exam (or any other ppl theory exam)?

Buy the book if you've not already done so - I had the Jeremy Pratt series and were very good.

I also used AirQuiz.com which has a large database of PPL questions and is about £20 for lifetime membership.

If your keyword is "free" then I can't help (and from my limited experience I'm not sure that "free" or even "low cost" features anywhere in aviation!) but I have found the Pooleys books to be good for covering content and PPLCruiser excellent exam prep so far. Books are roughly £20ish each and PPLCruiser is £60 for all exams for a year.

Recently passed mine. Used the Pratt books, AirQuiz, and the 'EASA PPL Exams' iPhone app. Got 85% on my first go.

I'd recommend taking Operational Procedures on the same sitting. The questions seem to be pretty much the same tbh; almost like they've just split the questions down the middle without organising them!

It's a little tedious, but not too bad once you get into it.

If the AirQuiz is the same website which I took out a subscription to then I wouldn't bother. The questions in the database point to the old syllabus.

The PPL Syllabus has been revamped under EASA.

I would use the Air Law books - Jeremy Pratt or Pooleys whichever you are comfortable with. Follow this up with the A4 Sized Revision Guide for EASA. They are around £9 each. This will help consolidate what you have learned and any gaps in your knowledge.

I can second the PPLCruiser website (many of my students use it) :ok::ok:

My method:

- Buy and read through the AFE Textbook for the subject (you can technically skip this bit but I would recommend it!)

- Buy (or borrow) the AFE Revision Guide for the subject and read through the "vital revision" section at the front of the book

- Do hundreds of test papers on the 'EASA PPL Exams' app whilst walking the dog, taking screenshots of any questions you get wrong for later referral to the textbook to see where your misunderstanding lies

- Finally when you're getting good results on the app, do some of the three practice papers found at the back of the revision guide - you should get very good results if you've been using the app

- Do the exam and pass with flying colours
