Airfield down south
Looking for a airfield down south (anything south of Manchester) that has a friendly club/cafe but must have a working piano available.
Any ideas? Tom |
Can you get a Piano Rating on an EASA licence?

Are you hoping to land on the piano keys? It would be grand if you keep it upright.

Venice Lido is South of Manchester and has a Grand Piano in the foyer. It's the only one I have seen at an airfield.

White Waltham has one - upright ,... but a tad flat !
I seem to recall Shoreham having a baby grand...( or maybe thats the landing fee I'm confusing it with !) |
Pleased to see this thread is striking the right note.

88 keys please!
Until a few years back, Shenington Gliding Club had an excellent IBACH upright in the entrance hall. The space is still available; the club would welcome a replacement....come on down and check us out! PPR.

Further to my last post.....Just look for an airfield with a hard runway as most have a set of piano keys at each end...you're 'gonna be spoilt for choice my friend.

Shoreham does indeed have a baby grand in the Hummingbird restaurant
