Richard Bach - author of Jonathan Livingston Seagull and many other excellent books about flying, has been an active pilot since the fifties, USAF Reserve, flew F-15s in France (see Stranger to the Ground), classic biplanes across America in the 60's and 70's, and owned a collection of interesting types.
Sadly last year suffered a landing accident in the Pacific Northwest, hope he's recovering, haven't heard anything recently. (edit: apparently recovering well) |
Very much doubt Bach ever flew an F-15. Think the aircraft he flew in 'Stranger To The Ground' was an F-84.
|
F84-F for Mr Bach, sorry to get all pedantic. BTW he's recovered enough to be interviewed by AOPA and intends to rebuild the Sea Ray.
