why not make skydemon for iphone?

Just a question ....

Why have sky demon for ipad and ipad mini but not iphone 5?

I have sky demon on ipad mini with seperate gns gps but the weather etc is not up to date en route as it does not have a 3g capability...

So why not have it for iphone 5?

Would be a nice back up for ipad

The author explained it on another forum. The iPhone OS does not have all the software calls that SD needs. It would mean another development and support line for them and a much cut down implementation. They prefer to stay with the full functionality of the iPad.

There are plenty of other backups if you really need to use the iPhone.

Now they have released the Android Beta version, it works fine on my HTC One X Android phone.....

So if you want it on a phone then there are options.

Coz with my fat fingers the iPhone screen is to small to do anything apart from draw a lot of unintended magenta lines !

When SD for iPad was launched, none of the work was done which would enable it to work on devices with restricted screen size.

A lot of that work has now been done.

There is theoretically no reason why there won't be an iPhone version of SD at some point - in fact, in the original teaser photo that SD released before the Android announcement, the device in the top right hand corner is an iPhone.
