There were five passengers. Five victims are to be deplored, "announced the French gendarmerie. For an unknown reason the time, the twin-engine crashed into the town of Saint-Pierre-de-Bressieux, close to the airport, a few minutes after takeoff. The paper has the aircraft type down as a CASA C-295, one would think a military-transport type turboprop an unusual aircraft type for a family?

Err, I think the C-295 is being mentioned in the context of an accident in the area last year.
