Sue Virr and Nearly Heaven

Hello all,
This is just a quick post, but I'm just wondering if any of you knew, flew with or learnt to fly with Sue Virr. She was a brilliant flying instructor, operating at Limoges in France...
There is a memorial fly in being organised for past students/friends of hers later on this year, and, if anyone wants to know more, please reply to this post, and I'll fill you in with more details. You won't have to use your own aircraft, can go by Ryanair if you so wish, but, please do reply, it'll be great to see how many of you knew this wonderful lady.
PS: She operated her school under the name 'Nearly Heaven'
Thank you
T

Is this the lady that was the subject of a television documentary? If so she was a true inspiration. The programme ran a couple of years ago if I remember.

Yes, she was... It was last November... A truly remarkable woman

Sorry one question I had when I learned she had passed away. Did the family continue to run the school.

Yes, I'm interested. I live not too far away.

The school is not still running, however, Cosmo Aviation has been set up by one of her former students at the same airport, but with different aircraft... And, it's in August at some point, I will definitely pot more info when I find out more. The biggest issue for me would be getting there. I am an extremely enthusiastic 16 year old who went to her to start my training, and was going to go back again this year to continue, but, unfortunately can not.
I am wondering if anyone from the UK will be flying there themselves, and, if so, would they have a spare seat? (willing to pay for it)
Thank you

The Sue Virr fly in

I have just caught up on this thread my apologies for being a little late.
Before Sue passing away I was going to be working as her number 2 instructor and then she was so suddenly taken from us. With the support of the local flying club and many of Sue's former students I have been able help to continue having a flight school at the airport in Limoges although due to Caa regs we can't be called Nearly Heaven anymore so its Cosmo Flight school. We are holding the first Sue Virr fly in at the Aero Club du Limousin on the last weekend of August the 25th. We hope to have a BBQ and a fly out with all pilots invited. There are several already booked from the UK to come over and some from around France as she seemed to touch so many different people in so many walks of life.
If anyone would like further details please do not hesitate to contact me.

Is this still on? Times, location (yes, on the airport but where do we ask to park?) Are we bringing food, etc, etc.

Some more information here.

I plan to go but the wx looks dodgy, at one end or the other.

Conflicting info whether Limoges Customs is 2hrs PNR (AIP) or 24hrs PNR (the airport ops). Longer notice anyway for weekend movements.
