Flying - Tucson

Hi guys.

I'm off to Arizona later this year and want to do some hour building while I'm in Tucson.

Does anyone have any FBOs to recommend? Tucson Int looks like it's got GA there and that would certainly be the most convenient. I'm open to other ideas, but I won't necesarily have access to a car.

Any ideas appreciated!

I'm sure you'll get some specific replies, but if you need more information, I'll be test flying there at the end of March, and can enquire for you then. I parked at one last time, but did not take note of the name.

When landing at the Tucson airport, the displaced threshold is really displaced for a reason... There are arrester cables in there  Don't land short!

There is an excellent museum there - Pima. Lots of unusual and one of a kind aircraft. Very well worth the afternoon.

Excellent, thanks. Seems so few FBOs have websites it's a real stuggle to get information.

I suggest you go to Airnav and scroll down to the bottom. There's a list of FBO's and links to their websites. Works for any airport.

Thanks david. I've seen the links to FBOs on Airnav before, but the websites are generally awful and tell you very little, at least with respect to aircraft hire; I'll give it a go though.
