A part of LTMA raised?
Just seen a notam
SHOREHAM INBOUND TFC IS REMINDED OF POSSIBLE GLIDER ACTIVITY TO NW AT PARHAM AND NE AT RINGMER, ACTIVITY BETWEEN THESE SITES IS NOW MORE LIKELY AS BASE OF LONDON TMA HAS BEEN INCREASED TO 4500FT, TRANSITING PILOTS CALL SHOREHAM APPROACH IF THEY ARE LIKELY TO CROSS THE FINAL APPROACH TRACK TO THE NORTH OF AD Curiously I had not come across this before, and a search of the CAA site does not reveal any chart fragments showing where this has happened. Would anybody have any pointers to an actual chart showing the new airspace? |
The info on chart amendments and airspace changes is now on the NATS AIS Site
NATS | AIS - Home E8218 seems to refer to a change to the TMA, including the figure 4500', but it's as clear as mud as to where that actually applies E8808 seems to imply more changes in the future. |
You need to look to the NATS site for airspace & charts these days. E8218, effective 17/11/2011, VFR chart amendments & LTMA, ENR_6_2_1_11

Bloody ridiculous website. Surely, Peter, you are capable of navigating to the Enroute Information section & finding ENR 6_2_1, or look at this

I believe the BGA were part of the campaign that argued for the raise.
