You could land at Booker, but won't get lunch because the cafe went out of business a few months ago.

We at Old Sarum will be open 10:00 to 16:00, would be great to see some new faces and aircraft. The usual rabble are welcome too! We are open Sunday and Monday 10:00 to 16:00 and back to 'normal' on Tuesday

Leicester is open all day on New Year's Eve, club restaurant is open. Also open on New Year's Day. In fact, they're only unmanned for one day a year; Christmas Day. Looks pretty breezy all weekend though. Fortunately lots of runways to choose from!

Tupperware Pilot 30th Dec 2011 19:22

Cheers Guys.....
Is there a good lunch on offer at Longacre??? I know dinner is great!

Oldpilot55 30th Dec 2011 20:21

Sturgate.
Walk/cycle/get a lift to the Upton chippy and have coal fired, lard dripping fish and chips. Their curry sauce is to die for.

Tupperware Pilot 30th Dec 2011 20:59

Great idea but the chip shop is not open .......another time for sure!

If you're willing to push back a day, Compton Abbas usually have a good fly in on the 1st. Usually worth a visit, last I heard it was on again this year.

Tupperware Pilot 31st Dec 2011 07:01
