Channel Islands PPR requirement Withdrawn

As of this am, the PPR requirement to visit and leave the CI zone has been withdrawn.

Many thanks to Charles Strasser of AOPA and others for their successful campaign to have this abolished.

Not going there because they required PPR seems a bit strong.

It does depend on where you are based.

If you have to do the 12hr Plod notice, then it is no extra burden if it was 12hrs also.

But a lot of people fly from airfields which have Plod present (e.g. Bournemouth) so they could go at short notice, and this PPR requirement stopped that.
