Logstar Power and Windows 7

Ever since I started flying I have accumulated my flyingtime on Logstar Power but having just got a new computer - windows 7 I find that this programme will no longer run. logstar is pretty ancient so I suppose I am not the first to encounter this problem. Does anyone have ny advice as to how I might get Power to run in W7 or a new sytem into which I can incorporate my Power database?

in hope

If you have managed to get it installed, even though it's not working, you could try to

1. right click the program
2. Select Properties
3. Select the "Compatibility" tab
4. Click the box "Run this program in compatibility mode for
5. In the box just below that, select the operating system that you were previously running it on, or the one that it was designed for
6. Click ok
7. Try running it again now.

It *might* work for you.

But even if it does, you have to consider the sense in continuing to enter your data into a program that is a dead end for you. Eventually you are going to have to find something new, and need to get the data out electronically or be fased with having to reenter it into something new.
