Has it finished only saw about 2 episodes????

There have been three so far. I think there are more to come. Tonight there is both Flying Wild Alaska (discovery) and Ice Pilots (Quest) to watch if you're getting withdrawal symptoms Both are at 21.00 hrs so you could watch one of the on the +1 option.

So that would seem to be it next shown at 23.00 on 11th, 18th, 25th June.

Pity I would have liked to see more.

I've been watching all three (obsessed, me?) and I've got to say I like Flying Wild Alaska most. It manages to carry on with the people story without quite so much drama, and seems to be more about the flying.

Either way, they fill the gaps between Sunday lessons, especially the ones that get cancelled due to bad weather!

I agree with IanPZ. On ATPs I find the continuous sensationalist voiceovers are really irritating. One that particularly got me was the pilot who dropped down through cloud and couldn't find the landing site. I'm almost certain I saw a GNS430 on his panel. Come on mate, it's not hard to put a waypoint in!
Having said that, the coverage of the solo XC of the 17 year old, complete with go around at her landaway was super. It captured all the genuine fear I remember.

Thank god for the recording function of sky. What with the constant ad breaks and then the "recap" just so you don't miss anything from earlier. Watched a crap one the other day on the worlds most dangerous airports. Would have been maddening to watch it in real time with the constant recap. Must have only been 25 minutes of proper content.

Sadly that is the standard to which many "documentaries" have fallen. I took up the issue of editing with a TV producer, of another series who told me that the TV station (in his case ITV) determined the look and editing of the series. He was only responsible for the actual production, i.e. filming and providing the wherewithall for the programm to go ahead.
So it is the station that commissions the series which hold all the cards, the rest are just customers. It is perhap indicative of the fact that these were primarily aimed at an American TV audience who appear to be less discerning than certain other nations ;). So as P T Barnum said ""No one ever made a fortune by over estimating the intelligence of the public". The lowest common denomiator wins.

So it seems we are to blame for accepting it without protest.
