Where on earth do I buy an 11" chrome spinner?

Hi people,

searching searching searching………….I can´t seem to find a place (on-line) that can sell me a 11" chrome spinner for my Ivoprop Medium size.

Companies just don´t reply…………..or they don´t do chrome.

It may be new, or used--> I quite like the idea of re-using a part of an older aircraft.

I realize it has to do with the backplate and the space between the blades etc, but the minor tweaking we can do ourselves in the hangar.
I just need an 11", rather long; chrome spinner………..

Any lead, anyone??

Cheers upfront,

Shouldn't you be looking for polished aluminium, instead of chrome?

Although Ivoprop only sells them for the ultralight hub, they might be able to tell you where to find what you need: [email protected]

I found this interesting Ivoprop, how the electric inflight adjustable Ivoprop works.

If all else fails, you can make your own. It's easy :)

Can you get hold of a plastic one ? then have it painted in chrome paint

Try Cummins in Australia. Cummins Spinners - Aluminium Aircraft Spinners

I have one of theirs - so I am biassed! - but they are good, and they customise to suit you. And they ship anywhere in the world.

Hmmm,

unfortunately most parties that were mentioned in previous posts didn´t even bother replying, and others lost interest after the very 1st communication. Maybe I should learn to write less boringly!

E-bay is now my last resort…………….

Go local

Guia telefonica Ecuador / Paginas Amarillas Ecuador / Guiatelefonica / Gua telefnica | TECMEFAG TECNOLOGA MECNICA

Show them the metal spinning video in this thread and I am sure they will make a spinner for you.

Well,

just for those that are interested:

I ended up getting one from Aircraft Spruce after filling in the entire form with regards to the backplate holes sizes etc.
Shame, it would have been nice to install a used spinner. Not to save money, just melancholiness from my side I guess.

Yep, that´s what we´ll do…...
You see, the pre-drilled holes are completely wrong!!!
But "no bother"; that we can have drilled locally.
