I DID IT!!!

Did my first solo yesterday and just wanted to share that with you all!
I'm sitting at my desk now, but still at 800ft...

Excellent Viggen, well done, there's nothing quite like that first time.... (flying solo that is). ;)

What aircraft did you use?

Viggen 19th Oct 2001 15:51

PP - a Grob G115, G-BOPT, flying out of Barton. Lovely evening for it too!

Aussie Andy 19th Oct 2001 16:02

Well done mate!

FlyingForFun 19th Oct 2001 16:57

Congrats, Viggen!

Nothing quite like that feeling, is there.....

Have fun!

Nice one. I like the Grob, especially one up. Two up and heavy getting off from Barton ca cause me to bite my nails (except I'm gripping the wheel and throttle tightly & willing it off the ground). just a tad more power would make it nicer, but I like flying it.

Congratulations, welcome to the brotherhood.

What model of Grob 115 was that. Couldn`t have been an `RAF` 115E.

Well, well done. You are so very nearly there captain!

Viggen 24th Oct 2001 15:55

Skylark - almost identical to the RAF Grob "Tutor" - it's a G115, I think the only difference really is the slightly less powerful engine variant. Lovely little plane, now I've got the knack of landing it properly...

Viggen 24th Oct 2001 15:58

... I meant to say G115B
