If it is interesting for you, I could offer you a tandem jump in the vicinity of Hamburg/Germany.

Regards.

Looking at those prices maybe I should borrow a chute and push him out of P2 door :E

Gosh thats expensive :ugh: Anyway the old back would never take it plus £1000 physio costs too expensive ;)

Hope he has fun and enjoys the experience I would stick with the plane!!!

No personal experience, but you could try Headcorn, also a nice friendly grass strip GA aerodrome, should be a decent flight from your way. Looks about half the price of the first reply.

Cheapest tandem skydives in the UK is probably at Chatteris, AKA North London Parachute Centre, mid week.

When you're jumping out a plane with a sheet strapped to your back, do you really want to be going for the cheapo value-deal? :}

The Parachute Outfit listed as Old Buckenham above has now moved to Beccles:

You can certainly fly in there in an average SEP.

Alternatively there's an Outfit at Chatteris 12 NM SE of Peterborough:
Google 'em. Don't see why you shouldn't fly in there either but you'd need to check with them as they're always pretty busy.
My daughter did a tandem charity jump there (after 4 cancellations for weather) and they were very professional: the video they did was excellent.

The prices quoted in the first link are about right for a respectable dropzone. I would be careful with anyone going much lower than that--not necessarily unsafe, but likely to be not much of an enjoyable experience. Each dropzone has its own character, finding a fun and friendly place (and safe, but most of them are) should be a much more important consideration than price in your search--seeing as it's a gift for your son, it would be a different matter if it was say your mother-in-law we were talking about. :E
