Awaiting CAA licence docs - Can I fly?
Have searched LASORS for this to no avail -
I have added a Microlight Class Rating to my existing valid SSEA rating on NPPL. BMAA have processed the application, authorised it and passed it to the CAA FCL people. Whilst awaiting the revised Licence docs through the post from CAA FCL- can I legally fly a microlight as PIC with or without a passenger? |
Yes and No.
Until you're holding your licence in your hand, you haven't really got the microlight rating so you cannot fly with passengers or as PIC off your own licence. You can fly as PIC if an instructor is happy to sign you off to go solo, but without passengers because you would be classed as a student. |
Heff is correct. You are NOT licensed until you get your docs back.
|
Your licence is not valid unless and until you have signed it
|
I believe 'signed in ink' is the clause they use for the regular PPL though not sure how this affects NPPL & Microlight rating.
|
The latter must be signed in blood
|
Virgins blood I believe.

Wonder where I find one of those in these parts... :confused: :bored:

Sure as heck aren't many virgins. Given the state of Political Correctness nowadays I will refrain from making any comment about your location, jonkil... :}
|
LOL.... sure as hell scarce around here.
|
Is it specified if the virgin must have been human? :}
|
You can have some of my blood.
Hmmm. I think I may have revealed too much. |
Thanks folks for that entertaining example of venous thread drift :ok:
So its case of looking out for Postman Pat and hoping he has my docs before he withdraws his labour next week :mad: |

Is that the first time a Mod has started a weird thread drift?
