Opinions on Sennheiser HMEC 250 ANR?

Hi all,
Just after your opinion on the Sennheiser HMEC 250 ANR. Would it be well suited to use in light aircraft such as the PA-28?

Thanks,
Rich

I have the 250 and I'm not entirely satisfied. The main gripe I have with it is that wearing it is like putting your head in a vice. It clamps so tight (even after many adjustments) that I get a headache, mainly from the headband as it pushes down on my head. Also it seems to have a habit of switching off without any real reason. The battery holder is quite bulky (4 AAA's) and the batteries are a bugger to get out.

The best way I can put this is I own 3 headsets and this is the the backup to the backup. #1 is a DC13.4, #2 is an old Avcomm and #3 is the 250.....

I'd look elsewhere for a NC headset.

I've got a Pilot ANC,had it 4 years and have not got one gripe with it.
It's comfortable, inbuilt re-chargable battery and comes with charger, lasts ages between charges.Seperate volume control for each earpiece.
And excellent value for money.
Learned in a PA-28 and it was brilliant then and now very good in the L4 Cub.
