Hi All,
Anyone got any experience of flying in Thailand? Do they accept UK licence, cost of aircraft hire, etc etc ?

Unless you are staying for an extended period or going to live in Thailand it is difficult to fly an HS reg aircraft.

The DCA now requires applicants for foreign licence validation to take a Thai Air Law and Human Performance written exam before rendering foreign licenses valid for flight in Thailand. This is only valid for the flying club it relates to.

Phil and Will, would you happen to know of any JAA-registered aircraft available within a reasonable distance from Bangkok, or maybe an opportunity to fly a HS-reg as PICUS? I just got a confirmation of a short business trip to Bangkok in less than 3 weeks from now, and will have a couple of free days which I'd love to spend flying...
