Something exciting happened at Barton ?
I was checking the on-line ATIS Friday morning and it said 'airfield temporarily closed' or something similair.
Something exciting or just another way of saying it's too muddy ? I know it usually says 'closed to fixed wing aircraft' when it's boggy (boggier !). Just wondered if anyone was there at the time and can explain. Thanks. |

From speaking to various people, it would appear a C152 made an approach for rwy 27L then tried to do a go around, but got into trouble and came down heavy on the rwy

Nice one Kippax, thanks. I thought it was more than just the 'surface (I use that term loosely) conditions'.
