No ideas about S&K but I'm training with Classair at Biggin and can highly recommend them.

Hi, I both fly from Surrey and Kent and do a bit of ops work for them. They are a great school to learn with, the instructors are probabably some of the most experienced around and are instructing because that is what they want to do for a living (either full time or part time) rather than just to build hours. The aircraft are owned by the club and maintained at Biggin so the 'down time' for things like checks and defect rectification is very short (the owner of the club also owns a maintenance organisation on the airfield). We have got 4 PA28's so even if one is on check there is not normally a problem with getting an aeroplane. We also have a C152 and also operate an Arrow (for once you have got your licence and built a few hours).

There is a nice 'club' atmosphere amongst the members and it is a friendly place to be but a very professional place to learn. I am sure that you would find it a good place to start your flying career.

Did you do your trial flight with Surrey and Kent, if so who did you fly with?

Good luck with it where ever you end up training but do give us a try!!:ok::ok:

hey thanks for the reply's :),

I had trial flight with allouette was great experience, but have been trawling internet and lots of people recommend trying a few places out before settling to one and i've heard surrey & kent meant to be really good club,

few questions if that ok?

do they have ground school there as i love the practical side of flying but am really nervous about the exams part how hard are they really?

my funds on a monthly basis arent that great at moment (ie mortgage lol) but im looking at 2 maybe 3 lessons a month at a push is this realistic?, i'm not in any rush to get through everything and just want to get up and learn :).

How much are the lessons and S&K?

thanks sorry for all the usual questions lol
