Glider tow pilot opportunity - Bidford
Hi there,
He's only gone and landed himself a place on one of the rare real cadet schemes hasn't he!?:}woohoo!:ok: As a result though I need to leave my current position as summer tug pilot at Bidford Gliding Club so there is an opportunity for someone to start as soon as possible, until the end of the season -sept/oct ish. Live on-site, weekends off, supercub & pawnee. Not after a debate on tugging on a PPL etc. etc., that can be found here:}: http://www.pprune.org/forums/showthr...+lasham&page=3 If interested call the club on 01789 772606, or email: [email protected] or PM me with any questions, gliding & tailwheel experience would be preferred. cheers, pheeel |
ooohh to be 20 again..... tugging, totty and time.......... will fly for food.....:D
|
The only 'totty' at most gliding clubs seems to be chaps over 40! Now that's OK for girls over 40 looking for totty, but for 20yo chaps it is surely a bit of a blow?
|
Para flying much better for 'totty'.....
How much are you paying for the tug drivers job?:E |
Pheeel,
Check your PM's. Cheers |

I was checking out some gliding clubs in SW of USA and came across this one. Would post original link, but can't find the club in bookmarks or via image search on google as I changed the file name. Presume it's friends and family, maybe one of them pilot as well. Can't tell. Who cares :-D Anyway, seeing this pic and some 'aviation glamour' pics with choppers, I see why men like girls lying on cars/bikes. Not to mention http://www.soaringchillies.com I happened to find as well. Why are there more girls in skydiving? Is it just because it's nice 'to try it' for general public, but not as leisure activity? Sorry for pushing on this thread :-D admins feel free to move this. |
My seventeen year old daughter will be spending a week gliding at RNAS Culdrose in August, courtesy of the Fleet Air Arm Officer's Assoc. Gliding Scholarships. :ok:

Shame I'm not around that time and won't qualify in a single criterion. Does your daughter really want to be Naval Officer or Observer?? :-D Maybe it's worth starting thread about this FAAOA 'freebie' (unless it's well known, can't tell) I'd teach my kid/s to fly all sorts of machines and kits (should I have one or two later on) for sure. If not, at least bringing future lady/wife along to get inspired (and do menial tasks on ground :ouch:) |
