Aircraft Hire in Florida
I am sure that this has been posted before, but here goes anyway.
My wife has embarked on a quest to get me to go to Florida (along with her family and friends). While there, I thought I might do the 'tourist' thing, and go for a tootle around the bay. To that ends, and with a group of us (who will want to go with me) I pose a question.... Does anyone know of anywhere in the Orlando / Sanford / Kissimmee area that has got a descent 6 seater for hire (with a destructor)? As it will be with said instructor, this does open up a little, so single or twin (Saratoga / C210 / Seneca... possibly up to Navajo size if enough guests want to go) |
Hi. Just Google "Aircraft hire in Florida" and there are hundreds to choose from...

Thanks BRL, am still trawling through Google. Plenty of C172's and PA28's, but nothing so far with 6 or more seats

Ahh right, ok! There must be someone on here who can lend you a twin..
Good Luck. :) |
There are not too many operators willing to hire 6 seaters because of the horrendous extra insurance requirements.
I've known one place take the middle row of seats out of a Seneca and have it declared as a four seater in order to be able to afford the insurance. There is, however, someone running a couple of Seneca V aircraft at Orlando International. I would strongly suspect that you could get a six seat aircraft from Air Orlando at Orlando Executive Airport. Have a llok at www.airnav.com try "Airfields" tab and enter the identifier "KORL" (without the quotes). It should list all operators at that airfield. I know that www.parisair.com have various Seneca models and a PA31 Chieftain (grown up Navajo) at the Vero Beach facility if you want to fly over the coastline and Atlantic Ocean (absolutely gorgeous views on a nice sunny day). JUst thought: Seneca 1 available (dual only) at www.sunstateaviation.com in Kissimmee - e.mail Mike Camelin [email protected] ($330 an hour dual). |
Yeh check Paris Air I did my exam there and the planes are in good condition and the staff are helpful! Good luck
Do not go to tradewinds in Ft Pierce, staff are nightmare! |
