arizona school for piggy back or full ppl

Hi All,

I hold a foreign PPL and I am looking for a school in Arizona (well actually I do not care where as long as it is on the west side of the US and weather is good) to do a piggy-back FAA PPL or new full FFA PPL if timing permits, as well as IR and multi.

I have difficulties to find my way amongst the tons of schools there, since especially I am looking for a cutomized program (due to schedule and time constraints).

Thanks for your info.

Cheers

My recommendation would be Falcon Executive Aviation.

Highly recommended by many folks, very good maintence on the aeroplanes.

You can start by applying the visa filter as you will require a school which can issue you the appropriate paperwork required to do the training if you are a non US citizen.

There are only a few handfuls of schools which can do that.

Justice Aviation in KSMO (Los Angeles) might be your thing. Plenty of airspace, terrain and wx to get real-world experience also in IR, but generally wx good enough to fly every day. Flown there, big fleet of very well-maintained a/c.

AFAIK they are ok to train non-US citizens, but check back with them if interested.

I would personally recommend Angel City Flyers at Long Beach.

I recommend www.aerobatics.com - Chandler airport, Arizona (near Phoenix).

Very well organised and thorough. Did the IR there in 2006.

Don't do a piggyback FAA PPL - it's a house of cards. Always do the full standalone FAA PPL if going to train in America anyway.

A fairly small player, but I did a bit of training and rental from Prescott Love field in Arizona a couple of years ago. I used SkySchool and was very impressed with the instructors, aircraft and general environment. If I was in the vicinity, I'd have no hesitation in using them again.
