PPL Confuser

Having recently borrowed a copy from a friend of mine, I have to ask: Are they taking the Michael with the picture on the front cover? It features the cheesiest looking pair of airline pilots grinning with their thumbs up. Outside the cockpit window a mid-air with a light twin is imminent and is that an engine fire indication on the glare shield? |
oh the irony of this thread :)
|
Are they taking the Michael with the picture on the front cover? Cheers Whirls |
what do you think ? you dont honestly think tis is a real pic surely
|
picture
i think it beautifully reflects the characters of most pilots.
|
Obviously I don't think it is a real picture, and it did make me laugh. I'm not sure if the Leslie Nielsen style comedy is deliberate or it's just amateurish artwork. My betting is on the latter.
|
made me laugh as well back in 2004 when i first saw it, but........
not as much as pchappo's post today! excellent! StraightLevel:D |
An ideal photo to start a caption competition
Both pilots turn to the photographer and point up and ask him to check. "do we turn right or climb air law was so long ago" ? I'm sure someone will have a corker CFG |
That pic has been all over the internet for a few years now, and is used in various training advertisements in the USA too.
Very funny :) The PPL Confuser is a great training/study aid. If anybody is taking the micky it is the book taking the micky out of the CAA/JAA syllabus word plays that you have to memorise to get a PPL. |
Totally agree. Great book mine is well thumbed. Every student PPL should have one.
|
do not dismiss the importance of the PPL confuser so lightheartedly.
It is a useful studying tool and also represents Thailand's second biggest export product after rice ! In fact, the confuser itself is the only book commercially available in the western world printed on 100% rice paper ! |
so can i eat it?
better boiled or fryed? |
I saw that picture (again and for the umpteenth time) last weekend. CRM brush-up.
The accompanying question is, "Who's flying the aeroplane?" We thought that it was a response to the stewardess having heard the "Pull up!" call, re-arranging her skirt! |
