Aaaaaaaarrrrghhhhh - the mummy returns!

A charming young lady at the office has just started flying. So far, so good.

Now, she want's to buy some equipment - e.g. a headset.

The first question she asked is "can I get pink ones?"

It can't be true. Please, please please, Oh Lord NOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Nice headset!! Don't worry about the women wearing them, it's if you start to see a bloke wearing them. Sorry, not very politically correct!!!

gcolyer 11th Sep 2006 16:02

I would start to worry when she asks for a pink steering wheel cover or a makeup mirror, just like the ones in her car.

BroomstickPilot 11th Sep 2006 20:12

Pink

In the end, they turn into Barbara Cartland.

Broomstick.

markflyer6580 11th Sep 2006 20:38

Using that thread to suggest something isn't unusual suggests you don't know what "unusual" means. ;)

Whirlygig 12th Sep 2006 08:40

Just try saying, "ha ha very funny!"

Mmmm - something here.... http://www.skytanz.de/phpBB2/viewfor...90a7dac5560a8d

BEagle 12th Sep 2006 17:54

The dear Pinkster is alive and well and you will be able to see her on BBC-TV later this year.....

She also presents on a Jockistani commercial radio station.....the locals call her "The wee girl on the radio"!

I'm not so sure that he would as he has been flying commercially for some time now and hasn't been instructing.

BEagle 14th Sep 2006 09:24

The Pink Aviator has had a busy summer - including some flying.

She has been working as well - expect to see her on TV in the New Year.

Oh - and she says hello to all the real people on PPRuNe who were her friends - not the amateur trickcyclists who though she was some mad bunny-boiler!

Dop 14th Sep 2006 12:01

Looking at Rallye Driver's picture, I have to ask if the pinkster ever needed to wear a hi-vis vest while airside...!

rusty_y2k2 14th Sep 2006 12:22

Well, I asked my instructor if I could have a pink headset and he told me to get out of the plane.

I think he knew I was joking.... I think....

I don't know who the lady in Rallye Driver's picture is, but I'm certain that it isn't the Pink Aviator (aka The Pinkster). The only time I ever saw her in a flying suit it was the normal olive drag colour.

Rallye Driver 15th Sep 2006 05:44

The lady in pink is Dawn-Marie Taylor, the lady in the pearls is Amanda Harrison and the lady in the olive flying suit is Suzy Boot

In the Schneider Trophy this year Dawn finished 36th, Amanda 26th and the Boots 5th in their SF260W. 46 racers in all.

RD :ok:

Fliegenmong 15th Sep 2006 06:20

GroundBound, aside from the headsets, any other pink bits been mentioned?:E

Would that be a typo or a deliberate mistake

I told you - the mummy returns -
http://www.pprune.org/forums/showthr...25056&page=134

its back out the crypt, run for your lives!

Help! Help! Help! Help! help!

MichaelJP59 18th Sep 2006 10:57

I remember the infamous pink headsets thread - no problem with it myself, no one had to read it who didn't want to and even 133 pages of thread are only a few meg of disk space!

What's this about the pinkster on TV though? Is it going to be a fly-on-the-wall thing like that mad couple The Armstrongs? Could be fun!
