Headset Question
Not being too up on this subjet, having just started my PPL. I happened to stumble across a cheap (ish) Bose headset for sale, trouble is it appears to have the one plug (US Nato styley) cable. Is there any way of converting that to the normal two plugs so I can use it like I do with the current clubs headsets????

Almost certainly, Not sure if I should mention the name, but I know Transair do all the Nato - Twin socket converters. Try giving them a call or one of the other aviation shops, I'm sure they could help you.

Or speak to Headset Services at Shoreham who will be able to convert for you so you don't need the adaptor.

If it's a Bose-X then you can buy the different cables and screw them on yourself. Probably cost as much as the headset though :ooh: .

A new cable is about £150, the adapter will work fine and cost a lot less.

The whole cable includes the electronics and the bit that connects to the earcup. HS should be able to fit just the lead from the battery box to the plugs. (They've replaced mine twice now)
