This is the 160 version The GPS on the right wasn't in the aircraft when it was at JEFTS, and this time, without all of the instruments toppled :} http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...g/IMG_0004.jpg |
Thanks for that.
Ninja Bill , in your 160 ,did student sit in LHS seat then? (as DB6's pic ,they were RHS.) Did that cause confusion, or am missing something? Cheers |
Different courses, different students, no confusion. 160 was used for Army grading and MELIN as I recall, 260 for RAF/NAVY EFT. 260 has a throttle on the left as well so both pilots can have right hand on stick, left on throttle, also should be flown from RHS solo so instrutors are used to flying from either seat.
More confusing was the fact that after 5 minutes in a 160 you were at 3000 feet not 6000 ;) . |
The 160 has a throttle on the left hand side, as well as in the middle, but the rpm and mixture control is only in the middle.
I normally use the LH throttle when doing aeros, but use the one in the middle when flying about normally, as it is located next to the other engine controls. I've tried doing aeros from the RHS, but you need gorilla length arms to be able to comfortably keep your hand on the throttle while doing aeros. |
Ninjabill,
Good to see you've (if it was you flying) got it nicely in balance during that climbing steep turn! :ok: |
I didn't know it went that high either.
