And a Happy New Year.

AerBabe 16th Dec 2004 14:23

BRL - Your message takes on a different meaning when viewed without smilies... :O Or maybe I've been at work too long today.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year, everyone!

And a cheery Bah Humbug to VintageATCO. ;)

RichyRich 16th Dec 2004 16:26

Very Merry Christmas to all of you, particularly the regular posters who have unwittingly kept me amused for large parts of my working day. (Don't tell the boss!!!!)

Gertrude the Wombat 16th Dec 2004 17:18

Christmas? What's that? Some of us international election observers will be spending December 25th on "familiarisation with area of responsibility" the day before the Ukraine presidential election re-run, according to my schedule which arrived a few minutes ago.

Andy_R 16th Dec 2004 18:23

Thank you BRL and a Merry Christmas to all the other PPRuNeR's.

Must get you up in the aerobat one of these days BRL :p

Kolibear 17th Dec 2004 07:45

A Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all, thank you for amusing me, informing me and exasperating me. I look forward to meeting more of us all in 2005.

Lets hope that next year brings good weather, (preferabley at weekends) and calm winds (preferabley down the runway).

Thanks to BRL too, may all your lines be leafless.

Oh, and a big vote of thanks to Wilbur & Orville, without whose sterling efforts 101 years ago, we wouldn't be here today.

(now if every reader of this Forum posted here, we could probably out-do Tony Draper's threads)

Confabulous 18th Dec 2004 18:28

Yep, here's to smooth landings, cheap hangarage and low insurance. And here's to everyone in Private Flyers, may you all achieve your goals next year. I hope I will!

And a special thanks to BRL for keeping us on the rails :E :)

Happy Christmas BRL and the rest of you....

BRL 25th Dec 2004 10:53

Hope you are all having fun wherever you are. :)

Anyone got any snow yet????

Whirlybird 25th Dec 2004 12:06

Yep, woke up to a stunning picture postcard Christmas view out of my bedroom window. I don't know how to post photos, but if someone can pm me and tell me how, I'll show it to you all.

Unfortunately, it put paid to my planned Christmas Day flying. :{ But I've just been out for a walk, in bright sunshine, crisp dazzling white snow, and complete silence. Well, I live at 1000 ft, so maybe I don't need to get airborne to enjoy the views and the stillness, not all the time anyway. Makes me feel good to be alive.

Now, what's tomorrow's forecast I wonder....

AerBabe 27th Dec 2004 20:51

We had some snow on Christmas day. Spent the morning wondering around a National Trust garden - it was beautiful. Why did I forget my camera???

Gertrude the Wombat 29th Dec 2004 15:04

Anyone got any snow yet????
Plenty in the Ukrainian steppes!! (Well, there was, it had all melted by election day, they're having an atypical heat wave just at the moment.)

I did get some lunch on Christmas day after all - we skived off work for a quick lunch in a cafe ... which turned out to take two hours, as that seemed to be as fast as they could manage to do the cooking.
