British Legion Poppy Drop Sunday Ceremonies

Poppy drop by civilian aircraft at British Legion ceremony on Sunday:

Well done the CAA for waiving costs associated with an exemption of the "dropping of articles" ANO bit.

Bah Humbug the CAA for charging £94 for costs associated with exemption of the 1500ft rule for the same event, same pilot, same aircraft, single event.

(Glide-Clear rules apply throughout as ever)

British Legion now £94 out-of-pocket for a poxy piece of paper.

Next time, perhaps, get a civvy Lanc (Canada?) or Mossie (Kermit Weeks?) to go low level like WWII and darn the consequences, "we did it in 1944, Your Honour"

Bad form, Mr CAA

Presumably the poppies will be dropped from an Air Atlantic Dc3 as they were in the week?

No, as it happened: it was a small single. It went ahead as planned at the appropriate hour.
