PPL to NPPL - Medicals

Hi All,
I've read that if one has a valid JAR medical, that can be used to satisfy the NPPL medical requirments (rather than finding a tame GP).

So if I converted from my PPL to the NPPL would that releive me of the need to ever have a medical again?

Would I need to get my doctor to sign something after my PPL/JAR medical expired?

Thanks in advance for any help.

The JAR medical does cover you for NPPL flying, but only up to its normal expiry date. At that point your choice would be to renew the JAR medical or go to your GP and get the sign-off for the NPPL one.
